PAUL GHOUGASSIAN

Paul Ghougassian serves as a Low Carbon Resources Project Manager within the SoCalGas Research, Development & Demonstration (RD&D) group. The Low Carbon Resources (LCR) group manages a portfolio of low carbon projects spanning renewable gas, distributed low carbon hydrogen generation, and low carbon GHG processes including CCUS. The LCR group seeks out new technologies, with a clear commercialization pathway, to produce renewable natural gas and hydrogen for deployment at the pilot or demonstration scale.

Prior to joining the RD&D team, Paul held several process/mechanical engineering positions within SoCalGas and WorleyParsons.

Paul earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Riverside as well as M.S. and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from UCLA. Paul is also a licensed professional chemical engineer (P.E.) in California.
